The Al Zahra Private Medical Centre was established in September 1993 as part of the health services network of the Gulf Medical Projects Company. Since 1980, the company has been in the forefront of providing modern healthcare facilities to the local and expatriate population in the UAE.

Based on the concept of providing total healthcare under one roof, this modern diagnostic center offers outpatient services in all major medical and surgical disciplines, as well as Dentistry and Family Practice. These are complemented by a wide array of ancillary services which include physiotherapy, radiology and clinical laboratory.

Great care has been taken in ensuring that only the best equipment for diagnosis and treatment is made available. The Al Zahra Private Medical Centre is unique in that it is the only centre of its kind in the area that offers complete healthcare facilities with the full back up and support of a major private hospital, the Al Zahra Private hospital in Sharjah.

Conveniently located on the Sheikh Zayed (Dubai Abu Dhabi) road, close to the Dubai World Trade Centre, the centre occupies two purpose - built floors of the Al Safa Tower. The location offers easy access not all Dubai residents especially those in the Bur Dubai, Satwa, Jumeira and the rapidly expanding Jebel Ali areas. The centre also provides special healthcare schemes for companies and institutions, as well as several discounted packages including those for Maternity Care and Executive Medical Examinations.

While the GP service will accommodate all walk-in patients, it is advisable to obtain appointments in advance for Dentistry and Specialist Clinics. Appointments can be obtained on this website or on Tel: 06-5619999 or 06-5613311.

Our Receptionists and Public Relations staff strive to ensure that patients have a pleasant visit. Complimentary tea and coffee are served in the patient lounges.


EMERGENCY SERVICES

A 24-hour Emergency Service is available at Al Zahra Hospital, Sharjah. The services operates with at least two resident doctors along with a Consultant in each specialty available-on-call. The hospital Ambulance Service can be contacted through the "Sister-on-Duty" on Tel: 06-5619999.

In-Patient
The hospital offers a choice of 100 Private, Semi-Private and Twin-sharing rooms and Private suites, all of which have en suite bathrooms. All rooms are tastefully furnished and include a multi-channel colour television with local and satellite programmes, and IDD telephones. The hospital also has fully equipped Adult and Paediatric Intensive Care Units supervised by specialist staff.

Each ward is under the charge of a Senior Nursing Sister who is assisted by experienced Staff Nurses specially trained to provide a high standard of care. Resident doctors and Consultants ensure prompt attention and continuity of care.

A comprehensive menu compiled by nutrition experts offers a choice of Arabic, Asian and Western selections. Special culinary requirements such as vegetarian meals or specific diets are catered for and waitresses are available on each floor for any additional requests that patients may have.

Overnight guests are allowed in Private, Semi-Private Rooms and Suites at a nominal charge and are provided with a fold-away bed. Food is available to visitors through the waitress service. The hospital allows one parent to stay with his/her child up to 12 years of age free of charge.

Visiting hours are from 8:30 am to 8 pm daily.
