Dr. Khan graduated from Allama Iqbal Medical College, University of Punjab, Lahore, in 1986, and after completing his internship he proceeded to the United Kingdom for higher surgical training. He completed his Fellowship in Surgery from the Royal College of Surgeons of England in 1992 and continued his training in Orthopaedic Surgery in UK until 1997. After a brief stint in Pakistan, he relocated to New Zealand where he has been working since 1999 and comes to UAE from there.

He has a wide experience in all aspects of orthopaedic surgery including primary and revision arthroplasty, paediatric orthopaedics, hand surgery and foot and ankle surgery. He also has an extensive experience of managing patients with trauma and multiple injuries.

He has a special interest in primary and revision joint replacements , knee joint problems and ligament reconstructions , hand surgery , foot and ankle disorders , and managing poly trauma patients .
