Dr Amr Elekiaby
Consultant Pulmonary Medicine

Dr. Elekiaby is American Board Certified in Pulmonary and Internal Medicine.

He completed his post graduate training in the United States in Internal Medicine at the University of Chicago & Louis A Weiss Memorial Hospital, Chicago, USA

He then joined, Case Western Reserve University’s pulmonary and critical care fellowship program at Metrohealth Medical Center, Cleveland, USA. After completing his fellowship, he returned to Egypt where he joined the International Medical Center as chief of respiratory medicine and director of intensive care unit.

Dr. Elekiaby joined Al Zahra Hospital in November 2005.

His area of speciality is lung disease with special interest in asthma, chronic bronchitis, smoking cessation and interstitial lung disease. He has significant experience in bronchoscopy and pulmonary function tests. His clinical experience includes the field of sleep medicine, particularly the diagnosis and treatment of sleep related breathing disorders.
