Dr. Shikare hails from Mumbai, India, where he obtained his Diploma in Nuclear Medicine in 1986 and Diplomate of the National Board in Nuclear Medicine in 1992.

Prior to joining Al Zahra, he was Associate Professor at the Department of Nuclear Medicine at Seth G. S. Medical College and King Edward Memorial Hospital, Mumbai (the two premier teaching institutions in India) and Consultant Incharge of the Nuclear Medicine Department at Nanavati Hospital, Mumbai.

Additionally, through the IAEA, Dr. Shikare has worked at the Royal Prince Alfred and Royal Northshore Hospitals in Sydney, Australia, and later at the Institute of Medicine, Julich, Germany. He has contributed several research papers in renowned national and international publications.

Dr. Shikare heads the Nuclear Medicine Department at Al Zahra which offers a full range of Nuclear Medicine investigations.
