Dr. Dinesh Arya
Dr Arya is a Fellow of Royal Australasian College of Medical Administrators, a Fellow of Australian College of Health Service Management, a Fellow of Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists, a Member of Royal College of Psychiatrists in the UK. He has received a Diploma in Psychological Medicine from Ireland and has a Research Doctorate in Psychopharmacology. He has completed Masters in Business, Masters in Bioethics and Health Law and Executive Masters in Public Administration from the UK. He is a Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and a Master Black Belt in Lean Six Sigma.
For the last 20 years, Dr Arya has been a senior health executive within Health Services in New Zealand and Australia, where he has worked as a Chief Medical Officer, Director of Mental Health Services and as Clinical Lead for Health Innovation.
Throughout his professional career, Dr Arya has held adjunct and conjoint professorial academic appointments in Psychiatry, Health Management and Business Management with various universities in New Zealand and Australia. He has taught Masters-level courses in the School of Health (Psychiatry), the School of Business (Strategic Health Management) and the School of Engineering (Innovations in Project Management). His recent publications include peer-reviewed articles on clinical governance, health reform, shared services, mental health law, resilience and self-management, facility design, innovation and economic burden of health inequality.
